foreword :

I played in a lot of bands and always had the same problem : finding the right chords for the keyboard and the guitar ... Every time we lost a lot of time searching and counting and not always with success ... As it was impossible to keep all the chords in mind I had to put them down in a book and keep it practical ... In the beginning it was all O.K. but after a while I lost myself under an incredible stack of paper...

Now I had all the chords that could be played on a guitar or keyboard but it looked more like an encyclopedia than a book ready for use ... and that wouldn't be handy to take to a rehearsal or recording studio ... so I had to make it smaller without loosing anything ...

What concerns the piano voicings, they're all in this book so you've got the real chords for any keyboard .

The guitar chords are showed in the "A" position and if you use this book right you'll find at least 6000 chords in "A" position multiplied by 12 notes = 72000 new chords and by using the open tunings converter about ???????????? (this means "a lot") guitar chords out of the examples given, just by following the transpose instructions given on the pages with the keyboard chords and transpose (moving up or down the neck ... try to memorize the transpose table) the one you can visualize ... (and by using the open tunings conversion map ... and capo ... there's nearly no limit) And don't forget the open strings ...

If, where would be the 15th fret, you find a red mark that string is not to be played (damped), if there is no mark you should play it ...

you'll also find this sign in the keyboard sections of section 49 & 51 (7 note chords) that's the note that's left out in the guitar chords (only 6 strings)

This book is not only made for beginners, because even the best musicians will find some new chords ...

It's also a quick and easy keyboard chord directory and shows the chords as well on the keyboard, music stave, in alphabetic breakdown as the transpose to do (+ and -) out of the "A" position.

You'll also learn the position of the notes on the guitar neck much more easyly thanks to the special drawing I made to help beginners understand faster ... which will help you even if you don't want to play rythm but lead ...

For beginners some of the chords may be a little too jazzy or obscure but you'll soon find out the ones you like best ... and after a little while you'll see that some of the chords you didn't like in the beginning will become more and more useful ...

For the beginner as for the professional, this is the only book you'll need because everything is in it ...

Sorry I didn't make it sooner ... but ... I hope it will help you create music ... and that's what it's all about .
